In this piece, the subject is being somewhat "erased" through intentional brush strokes to symbolize the ironic growth and completion as a result of intentionally losing parts of ourselves. The pieces were completely finished before the strokes were made, thereby making this an especially painfully engaging experience for Jodianne. 

Each piece is named after parts of herself she saw the need to lose in order to become better.
