Gently Made Studios is about nurturing the strength in vulnerability. Jodianne’s art is primarily centered around showing Women of Color in delicate, soft spaces in an effort to counteract the strong, independent perspectives they are often shown in. She feels that Women of Color should be allowed to embrace femininity, gentleness, Sisterhood, and weakness in a way that society often degrades. 

Gently Made Studios is inspired by and for women who identify with being “gently made” themselves. That is, women who choose to go against how society defines strength, and power.
